Description: A slightly elevated panoramic view of the intersection of Atlantic and Beverly in East Los Angeles, facing east and south. Both Atlantic Boulevard, which runs the length of the image, and Beverly Boulevard, which is just right of center and goes out into the distance, are labeled by hand in white. There are two service stations at the corner, the one in the center is a Richfield station, and the one on the right is a 76 station. There are subdivisions beyond the stations, with houses still under construction in the subdivision on the left. A note written in white on the intersection in the bottom right corner reads "Made Jan 29, 1946 ; Pettit's Studio ; 1416 W. Pico L.A. ; Phone RI 8534".

The two main streets are labeled in ms. white writing, with "Atlantic Blvd North" down the center and "Whittier Blvd East" on the right. There is a Richfield service station at the corner, with a miniature golf course behind it. Businesses across the street include California Bank and a Ford dealership. A slightly elevated panoramic view of a real estate development in East Los Angeles, at the corner of Atlantic and Beverly. The area in the foreground is a parking lot, with only two automobiles in it. A main is painting a wall adjacent to the parking lot, creating an advertisement extolling the virtues of investing in real estate. Beyond this lot and on the right are tracts of land with signs announcing "Pre-Opening Sales". Writing in white over a tree at the bottom of the image reads "W. Pico Blvd. ; L.A. ; Mar. 1-1934."

A panoramic view of the intersection of Pico and La Cienega in Los Angeles. Whelan's Drugstore is at the corner, across the street from a Chevron service station. Other businesses visible include a radio and home appliance store, a used car dealership, and another gas station. There are numerous automobiles both parked and driving on the streets. Stamps in the bottom left corner and on a blurred car in the intersection read "Pettit's Studio ; Commercial Photographers ; 1416 W. Pico Blvd. ; Richmond 8634 ; Los Angeles 15, Calif."

The UCLA campus is in the center of the image, with the Men's and Women's Gymnasiums at the bottom of the hill, in front of Royce Hall and College Library (now Powell Library). There are numerous automobiles parked in front of the gymnasiums. Westwood Village is visible on the far right. The road in the foreground is labeled "Beverly Blvd." in white, though there is no corresponding Beverly Boulevard in Westwood today. Writing in white in the bottom center reads "Made 1931 ; Pettit's Studio ; 1416 W. Pico L.A. ; RI. 8534".
