A slightly elevated panoramic view of the intersection of Atlantic and Beverly in East Los Angeles, facing east and south. Both Atlantic Boulevard, which runs the length of the image, and Beverly Boulevard, which is just right of center and goes out into the distance, are labeled by hand in white. There are two service stations at the corner, the one in the center is a Richfield station, and the one on the right is a 76 station. There are subdivisions beyond the stations, with houses still under construction in the subdivision on the left. A note written in white on the intersection in the bottom right corner reads "Made Jan 29, 1946 ; Pettit's Studio ; 1416 W. Pico L.A. ; Phone RI 8534".

The area in the foreground is a parking lot, with only two automobiles in it. A main is painting a wall adjacent to the parking lot, creating an advertisement extolling the virtues of investing in real estate. Beyond this lot and on the right are tracts of land with signs announcing "Pre-Opening Sales". Writing in white over a tree at the bottom of the image reads "W. Pico Blvd. ; L.A. ; Mar. 1-1934."
