    Visual Materials

A slightly elevated panoramic view of East Los Angeles near the intersection of Atlantic and Whittier. The two main streets are labeled in ms. white writing, with "Atlantic Blvd North" down the center and "Whittier Blvd East" on the right. There is a Richfield service station at the corner, with a miniature golf course behind it. Businesses across the street include California Bank and a Ford dealership. Most of the land beyond that and on the left is residential housing. Writing in white at the bottom of the image reads "Photo by C.C. Pierre & Co. ; 1572 W. Pico L.A. ; Dec. 29 1930."
