Seventy-five feet wide, the lawn extends nearly 600 feet, with a baroque Italian stone fountain at one end and the circular drive of the Huntington Art Gallery at the other.

Along each side are 17th-century Italian limestone statues depicting figures from mythology. A formal and iconic space, the lawn is lined with camellias, azaleas, oak trees, and palms.

This area includes intimate walkways on either side of the lawn, featuring camellias and other shade-loving plants.
