This Land Is ... Sunday Supper and Conversation Series

Co-presented by The Huntington and the Smithsonian Folklife Festival, this program engages people from across Los Angeles County for meaningful connections and discussion.
Inspired by conversations that occur when people with diverse viewpoints gather around a communal table, this series invites participants to engage with questions inspired by THIS LAND IS … and the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Each program features a catalyst—such as a performance, panel, or activity—before participants break bread and gather with mutual respect and real talk.
This project received funding from the Smithsonian’s Our Shared Future: 250, a Smithsonian-wide initiative supported by private philanthropy and created to commemorate the nation’s 250th anniversary and advance the Smithsonian’s vision for the next 250 years.
