    Album containing 8 x 10 in. black-and-white photographs of the ranch and estate of the Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens in San Marino, California, including views of the Cactus, Japanese, Rose and other gardens; buildings including the Huntington residence; statuary; and other views. At the end of the album is a view of a San Marino subdivision as well as a Security Trust Map of Pasadena, San Marino, and environs. "The Huntington Foundation" is embossed on the album's front cover.

    An album of personal snapshots, studio portraits, photo postcards, and some clippings compiled by Domingo Rabasa (b. 1900 Spain - d. 1985 Los Angeles), identified as the valet for the household of Susan Dominquez Del Amo and Dr. Gregorio Del Amo at 1119 Westchester Place, Los Angeles. Photographs include many views of The Huntington Library gardens and grounds, including the North Vista, the Shakespeare Garden, the exterior of the Billiards room and office; and fountains and statuary throughout the grounds; group outings; cemeteries, including tombstones, one marking Bernardo Chaler (1886-1919) identified as the brother-in-law of Domingo Rabasa.

    Huntington Lake photograph album

    An album of 100 commercially-made photographs, 7 1/2 x 9 1/2 inches each, of Huntington Lake, in the High Sierras of California. The album does not have a title or any text, and is undated. It appears to have been made in or shortly after 1915, as it features the Huntington Lake Lodge, which opened in 1915. Views show the exterior, lobby and dining room. Other subjects in the album are: children riding on burros, vacationers fishing and carrying rifles for hunting, cabins, and views of the lake and mountain scenery. The new powerhouses, dams, and railroad tracks are highlighted in several images. Photographs by Huddleston Photo Company, Henne Building, Los Angeles.

    Huntington Library institutional lantern slides

    Over 200 black-and-white lantern slides (photographs) of Huntington Library buildings, employees, library stacks, collections, and art objects. Lantern slides of the Huntington Art Gallery include exteriors and interiors of gallery rooms: Chippendale Room; Renaissance Room; Sculpture Gallery; French Room; New Gallery; Library Room. There are also slides of art objects or paintings. Images of the Library include the manuscripts stacks, the rare books stacks, people viewing books, conservation staff; photographic reproduction; and library staff. There is also a box of 100 lantern slides related to Mark Twain and his works, most likely used for lectures.

    Charis Wilson Interview at the Huntington Library [videorecording]

    Visual Materials

    Nine hours of interviews with Charis Wilson reviewing and discussing the Huntington's Edward Weston Collection of photographs. In the early 1940s, Wilson's husband, photographer Edward Weston, selected and printed 500 of his finest photographs for the Huntington Library as an outgrowth of his Guggenheim fellowship. The collection includes the full interviews as well as an edited version.
