Description
A bound set of 29 commercial photographs showing construction progress of Dam 6 on the San Joaquin River in Fresno County, California, from June 1921 to May 1923. The photographs include views of the river prior to construction, rail lines being built to bring in machines and materials, construction of various sections of the dam, men at work, and the dam upon completion. A one-page printed description of the dam is bound in before the photographs. It is likely that these photographs were taken by Southern California Edison's first company photographer G. Haven Bishop (1879 - 1972).
