This item is a single sheet folded once to create a 4-page leaflet. Illustrated with examples from the Picture Study Program, this advertisement promotes The University Prints' method of teaching art development to children. The interior two pages of this leaflet organize the series of grouped images by grade level. For example: "List II - Grade I. Animals about the Home; Grade II. Children of Other Lands; Grade III. Angels; Grade IV. Occupations; Grade V. The Seasons; Grade VI. Interiors and Furnishings; Grade VII. Interesting Costumes; Grade VIII. Mural Decorations of the Congressional Library." Titles of ten different art works are listed within each category.

The subtitle reads: "At Boothbay Harbor, Maine, from July 9th to August 11th, 1906." This brochure is 4 unnumbered pages in length, and describes the classes offered, as well as the housing costs, terms and location of the summer program. The school logo, centered on the first page, features an outline view of the eastern half of Massachusetts; Cape Cod is represented by a human arm holding artists' implements. "3-" is written in ms., in pencil, in the upper right-hand corner of the first page.

This 8-page brochure is an advertisement for a program offered by Harvard Summer School. In it are listed the courses offered, a description of the art workshop, the staff, facilities, social life, fees and credits, and an address to write for further information. Accompanying this brochure is a business reply postcard to subscribe to the Official Register of Harvard University. Also accompanying this leaflet is a mailing envelope addressed to "Miss Mabel Spofford, Supervisor of Drawing, Public Schools, Gloucester, Mass."

This informational pamphlet is 30 numbered pages in length, and contains 2 illustrations and several bibliographic references. It is organized into two primary categories: floors and floor coverings, with subdivisions of several types of each. Installation, repair and maintenance are discussed. Printed on the last page is the "Organization of the United States Department of Agriculture, October 10, 1928." "U.S. Government Printing Office: 1928" is printed in the lower right-hand corner of the last page. An ink stamp appears on the bottom of the front cover; it reads: "Distributed by the Extension Service. Willard A. Munson, Director. From the Massachusetts Agricultural College, Amherst, Mass., in furtherance of Acts of May 8 and June 30, 1914."

A New Series of First Class Drawing Copies

One drawing book entitled A New Series of First Class Drawing Copies, published by J. Cooke & Sons, London, ca. 1880? This book is comprised of 7 lithograph plates intended for copying. Each of the plates, with one exception, contains two images. The image on the left-hand side is a picture in outline, and the image on the right is that same image, but complete with shading and texture. The one exception is a full-page illustration that is already complete with shading and texture. The front and back covers are printed in red. The title on the front cover is within a decorative frame. The back cover features a vignette of 3 children who are drawing. "10--" (price) is written in ms., in pencil, in the upper right-hand corner of the first page.
