One flyer entitled Adult Life Enrichment, State University Extension Class: This Changing World of Ours, published by Massachusetts Department of Education, Division of University Extension, Boston, Massachusetts. It is Vol. XIII, Whole No. 22, October 21, 1940. This 6-page leaflet is an advertisement for an extension course offered November 1940-January 1941. The dates of each lecture and brief, illustrated biographical sketches of each of the speakers are given. A typed mailing address is printed on the first page: "Jennie V. Ruth, 1 Marchant St., Gloucester, Mass 4B-25".

Designs for Piercing, Chasing and Etching

One pattern book entitled Designs for Piercing, Chasing and Etching, published by William Dixon Incorporated, Newark, New Jersey, copyright 1937. This book is a looseleaf portfolio of 31 numbered plates, containing "more than two hundred motifs" and a single sheet with prefatory text. There are several plates of images per "series"; the series are entitled: Ornaments, Animals, Birds, Designs, Borders and Initials. A small, vertically-oriented rectangular floral design is centered on the front cover. The back cover, as well as the insides of the covers, are blank.

The Etching of Copper and Brass; The Lamp Shade; Designs to Fill Given Spaces; and Oil Cloth--Its Decoration

Four art instruction booklets entitled The Etching of Copper and Brass (Lesson 25); The Lamp Shade (Lesson 18); Designs to Fill Given Spaces (Lesson 7); and Oil Cloth--Its Decoration (Lesson 16), by Gabriel Andre Petite, published by Fireside Industries, Inc., copyright 1924-1925. The booklets range in length from 8 to 16 pages, and begin with instructional text followed by 1-4 pages of sample designs. The Etching of Copper and Brass is the only booklet with an illustrated front cover; the other three have decorative frames with a leaf pattern.

The interior title reads: "The Rockport Art Association 30th Annual Exhibition." The catalog is 68 pages in length, and contains a listing of the items in the exhibition, as well as a sampling (reproductions) of some of the items exhibited. The images are black and white. The first few and last few pages of this catalog contain a variety of advertisements. The catalog is bound in a bright yellow paper cover with blue printing.

The first and last few pages of this catalog are advertisements. The insides of the front and back covers contain advertisements. "July 1952" is written in ms. on the front cover.
