One set of wall charts entitled The Complete School Charts, published by Ivison, Blakeman, Taylor and Company, New York and Chicago, 1882. The set is comprised of 17 double-sided leaves attached at one end to a hanging wooden dowel. The contents of the set are outlined on the first sheet and are as follows: "Introductory charts I-II; Phonics III-IV; Penmanship V-VIII; Drawing IX-X; Arithmetic XI-XVI; Geography XVII-XXV; United States History XXVI-XXVIII; U.S. Civil Government XXIX-XXXII." Most of the sheets are printed in black and white; some of the sheets in the geography section contain color images.

One glass drawing slate entitled The Cross Transparent Drawing Slate: for Public Schools and all Students of Drawing, manufactured by Ginn & Company, Boston, New York and Chicago, ca. 1893. A cardstock label with directions for use is mounted behind the slate itself, which is contained within a wooden frame. "Patents. February 7th, 1893. November 14th, 1893. Patents Pending." is printed below the title.

Fun-Time Drawing

One drawing book entitled Fun-Time Drawing, by George Carlson, published by The Platt & Munk Co., Inc., copyright 1937. This book is comprised of 14 pages (including the insides of the front and back covers) of either step-by-step drawing instructions for line drawing or colored and uncolored images for coloring, copying, or tracing. The front cover is an image of a clown drawing a picture of a dog. "No. 3500" is printed in the lower left-hand corner of the front cover. "$1.00" (price) is written in ms. in the upper right-hand corner of the first page. Some of the illustrations in the book have been colored in with crayon.

This advertisement is a single sheet, folded into fourths, and is comprised of three sample pages and an order form to be returned to "The Davis Press, Worcester, Mass." Across the bottom of the sheet is printed "Second supplement to The School Arts Book, December, 1904." The verso of this advertisement is blank. The dimensions provided are for the folded item. Title supplied by cataloger.

This 4-page form (1 sheet folded to create a 4-page leaflet) organizes images for sale by school grade, from Grade 1 through "Fourth Year High." The last page is the actual order form, with a printed date of "190_". A pencil ms. note at the bottom of the last page reads "1935". This form was laid into a catalog entitled Turner Art Catalogue, HEH RB# 603411.

One flyer for a lecture entitled Art in Every Day Life, by Gerrit A. Beneker, Truro, Massachusetts, ca. 1933. This 8-page leaflet is a promotional piece for a lecture given by Gerrit A. Beneker, "Artist, Lecturer, Author." This brochure features reproductions of 4 of his works, "The Alabama Kid"; "Men are Square"; "A Constructive Radical" and a Victory Liberty Loan poster, in addition to a photograph of Beneker himself. The brochure excerpts a description of Beneker from Who's Who in America 1932-1933, and commendations about Beneker's lecture. It also includes a statement by Beneker, and lists of articles about his work. The date of the lecture is not given. This brochure is a single sheet, double-sided, and folded into fourths.
