Barney & Berry's genuine New York club and American rink skates

Image of an advertisement for ice skates by retailer Barney & Berry. The central image depicted within the decorative title is of a large silver ice-skate. The gold-foiled title and ice-skate are enclosed around an ornately decorated and bejeweled red championship belt. The belt reads, "Champion Skates of America," and is locked with a key that reads, "July 23d. 1867." Below the belt are images of cascading ice that stream down towards two vignettes, one on the left of the print and one on the right.
