Image is of Escobar, hanged from a tree. A small crowd looks on. The text below the image describes an incident in which a group of Mexicans murdered a number of persons at the Rancheria Hotel, rifled their pockets, and took $10,000 from a safe. It also describes the events leading up to Escobar's execution. The text notes that the engraving is "from a Daguereotype [sic] taken by D.A. Plecker." "Fishbourne's Lithr. S.
