Description: Image of the monument to the 3rd Michigan Infantry. Monument includes a large bas-rellief of two soldiers, one standing while loading his musket, one crouching, in woods. Below the bas-relief is written: 3rd Michigan Inftry 3rd Brig. 1st Div. 3rd Corps. / Mustered in / at / Grand Rapids / Mich. / June 10th 1861. / Army Potomac / First Bull Run / to / Appomattox. Behind the monument to the let can be seen large coils of rope and a pry bar. At bottom of the photograph, above the signature on the car is printed: 1063 -- 3rd Michigan Inft. Monument. . Image of the monument to the 4th Michigan Infantry. Monument includes a large bas-relief panel of an infantryman holding a flag in front of a cannon. Below the panel is written: 4th Michigan Inftry / 2nd Brig 1st Div 5th Corps. / Participated in 53 skirmishes and general engagements, / from Bull Run Va. July 21st 1861 to Appomattox Va. April 9th 1865. On the image, in the lower right corner, in white, is printed: 1064 -- 4th Michgan Inft. Monument. Betwen the stocks of the two muskets is carved: First / Mich. / Inf'ty. In the base of the monument is a badge with the seal for the State of Michigan. Monument honoring the 57th Pennsylvania Infantry, 1st Brigade, 1st Division, 3rd Corps

Image of the monument to the 57th Pennsylvania Veteran Volunteers. The monument is obelisk in shape, however the top is draped in a carved American flag. Beneath the draped flag is the diamond symbol of the Union 3rd Army Carps and a bronze plaque depicting the coat of arms of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Written on the front: 57th Penn'a. / Veteran Vol's. / 1st Brig. 1st Div. / 3rd Corps. / The Regiment occupied / this position, exposed to a / heavy artillery fire on the / afternoon of July 2, for two / hours, when it advanced 170 / feet and engaged the enemy. On the side of the monument are the statistics for that day. There is a split rail fence behind the monument. At the bottom of the photograph is a number in white: 1084. The photograph has been affixed to a card with the photographer's signature and "Gettysburg, Pa." printed in gold lettering at the bottom.
