  Image of the monument to the 125th New York Infantry. Monument is topped by the shamrock of the U.S. Army, 2nd Corps. On the face of the monument is carved: 125th New York Infantry, / 3d Brig. 3d Div. 2d Corps. / Recruited in Rensselaer Co. N. Y. / Mustered in at Troy, N. Y. Aug. 27th 1862. / Engaged in 23 battles. / Mustered out at Albany, N.Y. June 5th 1865. Below this above the base is the seal for the State of New York. In the lower left corner of the image, in small neat handwriting, in white, are the numbers: 1074. At the top of the monument is a drum, below that the shamrock emblem of the Union Army's 2nd Corps is prominently carved into the stone.
