Image of the monument to the 10th New York Cavalry. The monument is surmounted by a bronze horse head, below which is the seal of the State of New York. Carved into the front of the monument is: 10th New York / Cavalry / 3rd. Brig. / 2nd. DIv. / Cavalry Corps / July 2nd. 1863 3 to 8 P.M. At the base of the monument is the badge for U.S. Calvary Corps. Behind the monument are stacks of corn stalks. Written in white at the side, near the bottom of the image is: 991 Tipton. Image of the monument to the 2nd Rhode Island Volunteers. Monument is topped by a bronze sculpture of a war drum against which are leaning an ammunition bag, a canteen, a wreath and a bayonet. On top of the drum is am infantryman's cap with the cross badge of the Union's Sixth Army Corps. On the front of the monument it reads: 2nd R.I. / Volunteers / Second Brigade/ Third Division / Sixth Corps. In the center of the monument is a carved bas-relief of the shield of the State of Rhode Island.
