Description: Image of the monument to the 10th New York Cavalry. The monument is surmounted by a bronze horse head, below which is the seal of the State of New York. Carved into the front of the monument is: 10th New York / Cavalry / 3rd. Brig. / 2nd. DIv. / Cavalry Corps / July 2nd. 1863 3 to 8 P.M. At the base of the monument is the badge for U.S. Calvary Corps. Behind the monument are stacks of corn stalks. Written in white at the side, near the bottom of the image is: 991 Tipton. The photograph has been affixed to a card with the photographer's signature and "Gettysburg, Pa." printed in gold lettering at the bottom.

On the face of the monument is carved: 125th New York Infantry, / 3d Brig. 3d Div. 2d Corps. / Recruited in Rensselaer Co. N. Y. / Mustered in at Troy, N. Y. Aug. 27th 1862. / Engaged in 23 battles. / Mustered out at Albany, N.Y. June 5th 1865. Below this above the base is the seal for the State of New York. In the lower left corner of the image, in small neat handwriting, in white, are the numbers: 1074.
