Carved into the front of the monument is: 10th New York / Cavalry / 3rd. Brig. / 2nd. DIv. / Cavalry Corps / July 2nd. 1863 3 to 8 P.M. At the base of the monument is the badge for U.S. Calvary Corps. Behind the monument are stacks of corn stalks. Written in white at the side, near the bottom of the image is: 991 Tipton.
