Application 18 Decr. 1739 This piece is to be represented at my House. Jas. Hugford. Prod. Hickman's Room, Jan. 4, 1740. MS: some corrections, in hand of author(?); included are: Imitations. Argument, to ye. following Sonnet; an account of the circumstances attendant upon the composition of a sonnet by Henault, who speaks to ye Embrio in ye Person of Madlle de Guerchi; and the sonnet, in French. Comp. 1740 (K-D 46): virtually identical.
