Kashnor notes, " This is probably the first issue of the Holmes map. It is excessively rare and valuable for the names of the original purchasers of land from William Penn, and is really the first title-role of the men who actually created Pennsylvania. The map issued by Wildey was not published until about 1710, and is sometimes found in the Senex atlas issued by him. The Lea map is very much earlier." Kashnor dates as ca. 1686. Sub map: City of Philadelphia. Tables: Settlers in Chester and Bucks Counties, Philadelphia. "Surveyed by Tho. Holme." "To William Penn Esq. Proprietor & Governer of Pennsylvania This Mapp is humbly Dedicated and Presented by Ino. Harris." Relief: no. Graphic Scale: Miles. Projection: Plane. Printing Process: Copper engraving. Other Features: Sub-maps. Verso Text: MS notes: 105-727 N49 145110.
