Kashnor notes, "A good map of California and the North-West, locating San Francisco, Hyerba Buena, Santa Barbara, Lake Yentaw, &c. Shows Oregon with boundary, but the coast, colored red as if British, south of the Columbia, and locates Clatsop, Forts Vancouver, Nezperces, Okanagan, and Colville." Kashnor dates ca. 1840, RLIN record dates as 1854, however state of information inland from San Francisco indicates earlier date as more probable. Kashnor notes, "Shows New Albion, all the territory northward of the Missouri and Oregon as part of British Territory." This map appears to be a later edition of 105:266 by Wilkinson. It now shows Vancouver Island as Quadra and Vancouver's Island. New mountains appear in the west and the map extends further south. Kashnor dates as c. 1796. MS note: 267 (on Backing).
