It was headed with several different names over the years, including Information Notes, Editorial Library Information Notes, Editorial Library - New Library Materials, Flash - from Editorial Library, and New Resources - Los Angeles Times Editorial Library. The last two included bibliographic cites for newly acquired books and other materials.

Correspondence regarding a Los Angeles Times editorial entitled "Get out of Vietnam NOW." Many of the letters are from other newspapers across the United States that reprinted the editorial in their own papers. Some letters have attached a response letter from Otis Chandler.
