Notable names and subjects include: her childhood and youth (pp. 2 - 8) ; she started at LAT in 1960 when Otis Chandler became publisher ; feedback from the John Birch Society series was one of her first big assignments - draft replies for Otis Chandler (pp. 14 - 15) ; her recollections of the day Norman Chandler died and she aided the family (pp. 19) ; daily activities (pp. 20 - 23) ; OC elected to Board of Associated Press (pp. 29 - 30).

    Four photocopies of correspondence between Otis Chandler and John Wayne regarding Wayne's political and social views. Wayne analyzes (and criticizes) the Times' editorial policy. Otis Chandler also asks about good hunting spots in Baja, which they discuss. Includes a somewhat cryptic memo from OC's assistant Freddie Miller to OC and "RSR" about an ultra-right-wing publication called Western Destiny [edited by Willis Carto]; the tie of this item to John Wayne is unclear.

    A note is in the file that states "No speech prepared. OC [Otis Chandler] spoke ad lib with a Q & A session following." The note is signed "f" [Freddie Miller]. Also in this file are two letters; a letter from Richard G. Davidson, Program Chairman of the Rotary Club of Pasadena, confirming a phone conversation regarding the speech and also requesting biographical information. The other letter is from Freddie Miller to Richard G. Davidson, responding to his request.
