Wayne, John

Description: Four photocopies of correspondence between Otis Chandler and John Wayne regarding Wayne's political and social views. Wayne analyzes (and criticizes) the Times' editorial policy. Otis Chandler also asks about good hunting spots in Baja, which they discuss. Includes a somewhat cryptic memo from OC's assistant Freddie Miller to OC and "RSR" about an ultra-right-wing publication called Western Destiny [edited by Willis Carto]; the tie of this item to John Wayne is unclear.
