Special letters from readers
Manuscripts
Approx. 30 items: letters from readers, some sending recipes or requesting recipes, some just praising the Food Section . Among the more amusing letters (possibly one reason Hoke's staff saved them) are those asking "Marian Manners" how to get rid of bugs. One letter asks for a menu to feed 100 "important people connected with business." The writer, "Mrs. Hohm," explains that "they will arrive... drink for about two hours," then "it is very necessary that they are completely overwhelmed with my food."
