The album consists of 295 black-and-white and hand-tinted portraits and group photographs depicting Veda Kemper, members of her family, and friends chiefly in the late 1930s. Many of these photographs were taken at homes in Denver, Colorado; Evanston, Illinois; Omaha, Nebraska; and Florida, as well as in and around Southern California. Also included are photographs [taken by Kemper?] depicting landscapes and cityscapes, primarily in Southern California; some of these include family and friends. Among these are views of Avalon; Griffith Park; the Rose Parade in Pasadena; the Los Angeles River; the Pan-Pacific Auditorium in Los Angeles; Balboa Park and the 1935 San Diego Exposition; the auditorium in Long Beach; the Supreme Court Building in Washington, D.C.; the Hollywood Bowl; the Laguna Hotel; Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale; Switzer's Camp in the Angeles National Forest; the Huntington Library; Palm Springs; Central Los Angeles (8th Street, Clifton Cafeteria on Olive Street, the Figueroa Hotel and Figueroa Street, a rally on Broadway, the Petroleum Securities Building at Figueroa and Olympic, and crowds gathered for President Roosevelt and General Patton); the gardens of Gurdon Wattles' home on North Curson Street in Hollywood; the Bernheimer Gardens in Santa Monica; Seattle; Santa Anita and Hollywood Parks; Los Angeles theatres (including the Paramount) at Christmas, with performances by Kathryn Ames and the Singing Strings; Santa Barbara; Lake Arrowhead; Big Bear; Tijuana; and the American Legion Convention.

The collection consists of black-and-white photographs of members of La Mariposa Club on outings to destinations in Southern California including Santa Anita Canyon, Eaton Canyon, and the San Gabriel Mission. The last image in the collection depicts a farming scene on the Gilmore Ranch (at the corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Western Avenue) in 1900.

The Krueger Collection consists of 103 black-and-white photographs and 103 negatives depicting sites and locations within the greater Los Angeles, California, area. Images of Los Angeles include the Lugo Adobe; Olvera Street; Ord Street in Chinatown; Union Station; the United States Post Office Terminal Annex; City Hall; the Hall of Justice; the Old Hall of Records; the Post Office and Federal Building; the California State Building; the Los Angeles Times Building; Pershing Square; streets in downtown Los Angeles decorated with Christmas decorations; and the Ambassador Hotel. Images of Hollywood include views of Hollywood Boulevard (some showing Christmas decorations); Grauman's Chinese and Egyptian Theaters; the Florentine Gardens nightclub; CBS facilities, including KNX/CBS Radio Playhouse with the Lux Radio Theater; NBC facilities; the Earl Carroll Theatre; the Hollywood Scenic Gardens (Bernheimer Gardens); the Brown Derby Restaurant (the Hollywood and Wilshire Boulevard locations); and Griffith Observatory. Other sites in greater Los Angeles include Exposition Park; Westlake (MacArthur) Park; and the Bernheimer Gardens in Pacific Palisades. Also included are views of Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale, California; views of Long Beach, including the Pike, City Hall, the Public Library, and the Municipal Auditorium; and views in and around Lake Arrowhead.

The album pf 295 photographs was compiled by A.L. Leatart and consists of photographic portraits of Leatart and his friends and family, and photographs of these individuals at a variety of locations in and around Los Angeles, California. These include the Hotel Coronado, Ramona's wedding place, and other locations in the San Diego area; Avalon and Santa Catalina Island; Mount Lowe; the Hotel Green in Pasadena; Chinatown, West Adams, and Laurel Canyon in Los Angeles; the Tournament of Roses and La Fiesta celebrations; the Missions of San Gabriel and San Juan Capistrano; Echo Park, Elysian Park, Hollenbeck Park (and the Hollenbeck Home) and Westlake Park; Rubio Canyon, Eaton Canyon, and Devil's Gate in the Arroyo Seco in the San Gabriel Mountains; Santa Monica; Long Beach; La Puente; and Golden Gate Park. Also included are photographs of Leatart's carved leather work; photographs of H.J. Whitley's jewelry store located at 108 N. Spring Street in Los Angeles; the Phoenician Yacht Club in Coronado; yachting and sailing; the Chinese shrine in Evergreen Cemetery, Boyle Heights; the camera obscura in Santa Monica; images of stagecoaches, street cars and the Mount Lowe cable incline railway; and interiors of Leatart's apartment in 1901.
