- The album pf 295 photographs was compiled by A.L. Leatart and consists of photographic portraits of Leatart and his friends and family, and photographs of these individuals at a variety of locations in and around Los Angeles, California. These include the Hotel Coronado, Ramona's wedding place, and other locations in the San Diego area; Avalon and Santa Catalina Island; Mount Lowe; the Hotel Green in Pasadena; Chinatown, West Adams, and Laurel Canyon in Los Angeles; the Tournament of Roses and La Fiesta celebrations; the Missions of San Gabriel and San Juan Capistrano; Echo Park, Elysian Park, Hollenbeck Park (and the Hollenbeck Home) and Westlake Park; Rubio Canyon, Eaton Canyon, and Devil's Gate in the Arroyo Seco in the San Gabriel Mountains; Santa Monica; Long Beach; La Puente; and Golden Gate Park. Also included are photographs of Leatart's carved leather work; photographs of H.J. Whitley's jewelry store located at 108 N. Spring Street in Los Angeles; the Phoenician Yacht Club in Coronado; yachting and sailing; the Chinese shrine in Evergreen Cemetery, Boyle Heights; the camera obscura in Santa Monica; images of stagecoaches, street cars and the Mount Lowe cable incline railway; and interiors of Leatart's apartment in 1901.
