The paints, each embossed with an image of a frog, are arranged in three rows of six cakes each, between wooden dividers. The set is housed within a wooden box with a sliding lid; the title is printed on the lid.

The set is comprised of 40 rectangular, embossed cakes of watercolor paint, two round porcelain dishes, two paint brushes, and two embossed cakes of charcoal. The set is housed within a wooden box with a sliding lid. The paints are divided into 5 rows of 8 each, and each cake of paint is embossed with an image of a family crest. The lid is not labeled; a label is affixed, however, to the bottom of the paint brush compartment.

Best Water Colors: Transparent & Indelible Colors

One boxed set of watercolor paints entitled The Best Water Colors: Transparent & Indelible Colors, for tinting photographs, lantern slides, drawings, school maps, magazines, photogravures, silk, satin, leather, and pyrography, (or burnt wood) etc., manufactured by Favor, Ruhl & Co., New York, Boston, and Chicago, ca. 1900. The set is comprised of 12 small, round cakes of watercolor paint within wooden tubs, affixed to the base of the box. "Best Transparent Water Colors" is printed in the center of the ring of paints. Directions for use are printed on a sheet which is mounted to the underside of the top lid. The cover of the lid is illustrated with a chromolithograph image of a girl who is painting in watercolor.

Devoe Water Colors

One boxed set of watercolor paints entitled Devoe Water Colors, manufactured by Devoe & Raynolds Co., New York and Chicago, ca. 1920. The paint tin is colored an olive green, and the lid is divided (molded) into three sections: the outer two thirds bear the company logo and trademark, and the title is in the center. "Made in U.S.A." is printed on the front lip of the lid. The set contains 8 small, rectangular cakes of watercolor paints, which bear the Devoe name in an imprint. There is also a space for a paintbrush, which is not present.

The set is comprised of 18 cakes of watercolor paint, two porcelain dishes, and two thin sticks of charcoal. The paints are contained within wooden dividers, and are embossed with an image of an eagle. The set is housed within a wooden box with a sliding lid. A chromolithograph with labeled scenes of monuments and buildings in various American cities is mounted to the lid. One of the images is labeled "Chicago-Exhibition 1893." "Made in Germany" is printed on the image as well.

The set is comprised of several small cakes of watercolor paint, one small, round porcelain dish, and two quill paint brushes. The set is housed within a wooden box with a sliding lid. The box is divided into two halves lengthwise by a wooden divider onto which a paper label identifying each color is barely discernible. This box is similar to sets 5 and 10 in Box Number 75.
