    Six sample jars of relief paint; three are labeled Reliefo: A Relief Paint for Decoration, and three are labeled Prang Reliefo, all manufactured by the American Crayon Co., Sandusky, Ohio and New York, ca. 1925. The first three jars are made of porcelain, the second three of glass. The colors within this group are: natural, orange, blue, natural, orange, and turquoise blue. Directions for use are printed on the paper labels on the jars. The three porcelain jars bear an additional label reading: "Sample Jar. 1/2 regular size."

    One boxed collection of paints containing 5 jars of paint and two small mirrors. Four of the jars are labeled Prang Craft Colors, manufactured by the Prang Company, New York, and Chicago. Four (4) of the jars are Prang colors, labeled, individually, "Base Blue A", "Base Blue B", "Base Red" and "Yellow". The other jar of paint is from Waldcraft and is labeled "Reseda Green". The label on one of the Prang bottles reads: "Prang Craft-Colors. For staining basswood and all close grained woods, raffia, reeds, etc. May be used on drawing paper and cardboard with either brush or pen. Fast to light, non-running, non-inflammable; may be thinned with water and mixed to secure any shade. See circular for directions. The Prang Company, New York, Chicago."

The box contains 6 glass jars (approx. 1 oz. each) of tempera paint in green, red, black, yellow, blue, and white. The logo/seal of "Gold Medal Products" is on the box.

    Three boxes of paint labeled AmazArt Colors, manufactured by Binney & Smith Co., New York, ca. 1935. Each of the three yellow and red boxes contains a 2 oz. tube of paint and printed directions for use. The three colors here are green, blue, and vermilion. Promotional text on the sides of the boxes reads: "New sensational art medium. Easy to use no special talent needed to hand-decorate fabrics, wood, glass, china and other surfaces," and "Draw, paint, design, write, mark with tube tip, no waiting to dry - no fixing of colors, made in vermilion, yellow, green, blue, brown, black."

    Best Water Colors: Transparent & Indelible Colors

    One boxed set of watercolor paints entitled The Best Water Colors: Transparent & Indelible Colors, for tinting photographs, lantern slides, drawings, school maps, magazines, photogravures, silk, satin, leather, and pyrography, (or burnt wood) etc., manufactured by Favor, Ruhl & Co., New York, Boston, and Chicago, ca. 1900. The set is comprised of 12 small, round cakes of watercolor paint within wooden tubs, affixed to the base of the box. "Best Transparent Water Colors" is printed in the center of the ring of paints. Directions for use are printed on a sheet which is mounted to the underside of the top lid. The cover of the lid is illustrated with a chromolithograph image of a girl who is painting in watercolor.

    One boxed set of tempera paint labeled Bradley's Tonal Tempera Poster & Showcard Colors, manufactured by the Milton Bradley Company, Springfield, Massachusetts, ca. 1925. The set is comprised of eight glass jars, approximately 2 oz. each. A green and white paper label is on each jar, along with the color contained in that jar. Accompanying these paints are 2 paintbrushes, numbered 12 and 14. The set is housed within a cloth-covered paperboard box with a hinged lid. "Mr. Jordan" is written in ms., in ink, below the company name on the underside of the lid.
