One boxed set of modeling clay entitled Amaco Modeling Clay, Set 1W, manufactured by the American Art Clay Company, Indianapolis, Indiana, ca. 1935. This set consists of 6 bricks of colored clay wrapped in tissue paper, and housed within a paperboard box. The box lid is illustrated with a color image of two children creating animals by using AMACO modeling clay. Illustrated instructions are printed on the underside of the lid. The clay colors within this box iinclude red, gray, yellow, gray, green, and brown. A small wooden modeling stick is also present.

Prang Stick Printing Dyes: Box No. 1
Visual Materials
One boxed dye set entitled Prang Stick Printing Dyes: Box No. 1, manufactured by The Prang Company, New York, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta ,and Dallas, ca. 1910. As stated on the box lid, the set is comprised of "3 color caps (12 pads); 1 water cap (4 pads); 6 printing sticks." Five of the printing sticks remain; some of the color caps have been used. All four "tins" of color and water caps have been used, as have the sticks. The directions for use are printed on the lid.

One boxed dye set entitled Prang Stick Printing Dyes, Box 1, manufactured by The Prang Company, New York, Chicago, Boston, ca. 1920. As stated on the underside of the lid, the set is comprised of "6 sticks, 3 color caps, 9 pads." All 6 sticks are present, as are the three color caps. The directions are printed on the underside of the lid.

Hammett’s Kindergarten Material - No. 475

One boxed set of wooden pegs entitled Hammett's Kindergarten Material - No. 475, manufactured by the J. L. Hammett Co., Newark, New Jersey and Cambridge, Mass, ca. 1885. The subtitle reads: "1000 round sticks, Six colors for Primary Peg Board." The set consists of approximately 200 pegs--red, yellow, blue, orange, green and purple--of the original 1000. The pegs are housed within a paperboard box (red) with a gray paper label mounted to the top lid. The pegs are intended for use with peg boards, such as Mrs. B. Putnam's Busy Work Tiles, No. 1 (Box 80, Set 2).

Drawing Made Easy for the Kindergarten, Set No. 5
Visual Materials
One boxed set of paper stencils entitled Drawing Made Easy for the Kindergarten, Set No. 5, manufactured by McLoughlin Bros., New York, 1897. This set of 11 paper stencils contains many of the same stencils as those in Box 81 Set 3. Accompanying the stencils are 5 pencil drawings that have been made with the stencils. Some of the images represented by the stencils include circus performers, animals and famous landmarks. The set is housed within a paperboard box, which has a chromolithograph paper label mounted to the top lid. The image on the lid is of a bespectacled girl who is painting at a desk. "For the Little Folks" and "Set No. 5, 10 kinds" are printed in the lower left-hand and right-hand corners, respectively, of the image. "Copyright 1897 by McLoughlin Bros. N.Y." is printed in the bottom center of the label.

Bradley's Tonal Tempera Poster & Showcard Colors

One boxed set of tempera paint labeled Bradley's Tonal Tempera Poster & Showcard Colors, manufactured by the Milton Bradley Company, Springfield, Massachusetts, ca. 1925. The set is comprised of eight glass jars, approximately 2 oz. each. A green and white paper label is on each jar, along with the color contained in that jar. Accompanying these paints are 2 paintbrushes, numbered 12 and 14. The set is housed within a cloth-covered paperboard box with a hinged lid. "Mr. Jordan" is written in ms., in ink, below the company name on the underside of the lid.
