    Two sets of colored pencils and one Universal Holder No. 48, manufactured by Koh-I-Noor Pencil Co. and L. & C. Hardtmuth, Inc., Czechoslovakia and Bloomsbury, New Jersey, respectively, ca. 1930. The larger of the two pencil sets contains 11 colored pencils and a "lengthener" within a paperboard box and slipcase. The second set is comprised of 4 unused colored pencils within a paperboard box and slipcase. The Universal Holder is a metal pencil-like holder "for Graphite leads No. 2018 - Negro leads No. 2610 [and] Sanguine Leads No. 2620." Title supplied by cataloger.

    One boxed set of watercolor paints entitled Pretty Pets Paint Box, manufacturer unknown, ca. 1895. The set is comprised of 28 cakes of watercolor paint, two small porcelain dishes, one paintbrush, a piece of glass, and a 5-inch paper ruler. The cakes of paint are embossed with an artist's palette design, and are contained within wooden dividers in a wooden box (no lid). This box is housed within a paperboard box (which does have a lid). Mounted onto the paperboard lid is a chromolithograph image of three girls, each painting a toy elephant. "2.00" (price) is written in ms., in pencil, in the upper right-hand corner of the image on the lid.

    One stone drawing slate, labeled The Improved, Boston Primary School Slate, No. 2, manufactured by Joseph Ross, Boston, Mass., ca. 1865. The slate is mounted within a wooden frame, onto which the title and manufacturer information is printed. The slate itself is ruled with horizontal white lines. Penmanship and spelling lessons are printed on the front side of the frame; labeled pictures are on the reverse.

    One boxed set of watercolor paints entitled For A Good Child, manufacturer unknown, ca. 1925? The set is comprised of 21 small, rectangular embossed cakes of watercolor paint, a small, round porcelain dish, and a fragment of a quill brush. The set is housed within a wooden box with a sliding lid. The set's title is printed on a paper label that is affixed to the bottom of the box, just above the first row of paints. An image printed on paper is affixed to the lid; the image is of two children playing, and is signed "Dagood"(?). Each of the cakes of paint is embossed with an image of a swan. The image on the lid is mounted upside down. Laid into the box is one folded sheet of brown blotting paper.

    One glass drawing slate contained within a wooden frame. A paper label mounted on the front of the frame reads Transparent Slate, ca. 1885. An additional piece of wood, with a wooden brace, holds the slate into the frame. A paper label of instructions is mounted onto the back. Accompanying the slate are 11 engraved images for copying. Some of the images include an umbrella, people dancing, an American flag, and two men smoking Virginia tobacco from long pipes. Neither a manufacturer's name nor a date are given.
