Description: One boxed set of watercolor paints entitled For A Good Child, manufacturer unknown, ca. 1925? The set is comprised of 21 small, rectangular embossed cakes of watercolor paint, a small, round porcelain dish, and a fragment of a quill brush. The set is housed within a wooden box with a sliding lid. The set's title is printed on a paper label that is affixed to the bottom of the box, just above the first row of paints. An image printed on paper is affixed to the lid; the image is of two children playing, and is signed "Dagood"(?). Each of the cakes of paint is embossed with an image of a swan. The image on the lid is mounted upside down. Laid into the box is one folded sheet of brown blotting paper.

The set is comprised of 21 small, rectangular embossed cakes of watercolor paint, one small, round porcelain dish, and a very small quill brush. The set is housed within a wooden box with a sliding lid. The set's title is printed on a paper label mounted to the interior of the box, just above the first row of paints. The sliding lid is decorated with a color printed illustration of two children by the water's edge. The illustration is signed "Dagood" in the lower left-hand corner. Each of the cakes of paint is embossed with an image of a swan. No manufacturer's name or date is present. Also included are two folded sheets of blotting paper.

The set is comprised of 18 small, rectangular cakes of watercolor paint, two small, round porcelain dishes, and a quill brush. The paints, each embossed with an image of a frog, are arranged in three rows of six cakes each, between wooden dividers. The set is housed within a wooden box with a sliding lid; the title is printed on the lid.

One boxed set of watercolor paints entitled Pretty Pets Paint Box, manufacturer unknown, ca. 1895. The set is comprised of 28 cakes of watercolor paint, two small porcelain dishes, one paintbrush, a piece of glass, and a 5-inch paper ruler. The cakes of paint are embossed with an artist's palette design, and are contained within wooden dividers in a wooden box (no lid). This box is housed within a paperboard box (which does have a lid). Mounted onto the paperboard lid is a chromolithograph image of three girls, each painting a toy elephant. "2.00" (price) is written in ms., in pencil, in the upper right-hand corner of the image on the lid.

One boxed set of watercolor paints entitled Superfine Painting Colors, manufacturer unknown, ca. 1880. The set is comprised of 40 rectangular, embossed cakes of watercolor paint, two round porcelain dishes, two paint brushes, and two embossed cakes of charcoal. The set is housed within a wooden box with a sliding lid. The paints are divided into 5 rows of 8 each, and each cake of paint is embossed with an image of a family crest. The lid is not labeled; a label is affixed, however, to the bottom of the paint brush compartment.

One boxed set of watercolor paints entitled Fine Art Colour Box, manufacturer unknown, ca. 1890. The set is comprised of 18 rectangular cakes of watercolor paint, two large(er) and two small porcelain dishes, and two sticks of charcoal. Each of the cakes of paint is embossed with an image of an eagle. The set is housed within a wooden box with a sliding lid. A chromolithograph of an easel, a palette, and a table holding books and instruments is mounted to the lid. "Made in Germany" is printed below the title on this lid image. One of the cakes of paint has "SEPIE" embossed on it, and two of the cakes of paint are missing. The cakes of paint are affixed to the bottom of the box, and are contained within wooden dividers.

The set is comprised of 18 cakes of watercolor paint, two porcelain dishes, and two thin sticks of charcoal. The paints are contained within wooden dividers, and are embossed with an image of an eagle. The set is housed within a wooden box with a sliding lid. A chromolithograph with labeled scenes of monuments and buildings in various American cities is mounted to the lid. One of the images is labeled "Chicago-Exhibition 1893." "Made in Germany" is printed on the image as well.
