The set is housed within a wooden box with a sliding lid. The set's title is printed on a paper label that is affixed to the bottom of the box, just above the first row of paints. An image printed on paper is affixed to the lid; the image is of two children playing, and is signed "Dagood"(?). Each of the cakes of paint is embossed with an image of a swan. The image on the lid is mounted upside down. Laid into the box is one folded sheet of brown blotting paper.

The set is housed within a wooden box with a sliding lid. The paints are divided into 5 rows of 8 each, and each cake of paint is embossed with an image of a family crest. The lid is not labeled; a label is affixed, however, to the bottom of the paint brush compartment.

The set is comprised of 18 rectangular cakes of watercolor paint, two large(er) and two small porcelain dishes, and two sticks of charcoal. Each of the cakes of paint is embossed with an image of an eagle. The set is housed within a wooden box with a sliding lid. A chromolithograph of an easel, a palette, and a table holding books and instruments is mounted to the lid. "Made in Germany" is printed below the title on this lid image. One of the cakes of paint has "SEPIE" embossed on it, and two of the cakes of paint are missing. The cakes of paint are affixed to the bottom of the box, and are contained within wooden dividers.

A chromolithograph with labeled scenes of monuments and buildings in various American cities is mounted to the lid. One of the images is labeled "Chicago-Exhibition 1893." "Made in Germany" is printed on the image as well.
