  The upper image on what Baird identifies as p.1 is an illustration of Judge Terry stabbing Hopkins on Jackson street. The lower image on p.1 depicts mounted men with sabres surrounding the Armory at the corner of Montgomery and Washington Streets. The upper image on what Baird identifies as p.4 is an illustration of Fort Vigilance with gunny bags outside of it, and armed men in the street and on the roof of the fort.
