    "S.S. China"--title at the top of the drawing. "Scale 1/16" = 1 Ft"--scale given. Drawing shows a starboard cutaway profile, followed by plans for the bridge, promenade, upper, main, lower, and hold decks of the steamship China; the deck plans show passenger accommodations, including the bunks in steerage, along with the dining saloon, social hall, card room and other amenities. The lower right-hand corner of the original has been cut off. Unknown as to when the copy was made. "China (II)"--on verso, in ms., in pencil. Focus of item: China (1889-1925).

The Peru operated for Pacific Mail between 1892 and 1919; built for PMSSCO by Union Iron Works in 1891-92; she was the second Pacific Mail vessel to carry this name. Focus of item: Peru (1892-1919).
