Description: Image of the monument to the 32nd Massachusetts Infantry. On the face of the monument, which resembles a field tent, is written: Here the / 32d Massachusetts Infy. / 2nd Brig. 1st. Div. 5th A. C. / withstood an attack of the enemy / about 5 o'clock p.m. July 2, 1863. / Withdrawn from here it fought again in the / Wheatfield. / It lost in both actions in killed and wounded / 78 out of 227 officers and men. Behind the monument is a barb-wire fence and a field strewn with boulders. Carved onto the face of the angle is knapsack with a bedroll, above that a horn. At the base of the monument is written: The 19th Reg't Mass Vol. Inf't'y / of the / 32d Brigade - 2nd Division - 2nd Army Corps / Stood Here / on the afternoon of July 3rd 1863. Image of a stone monument in the form of a shattered tree trunk. In the background are buildings. At the top of the monument is a cannon ball lodged in the heart of the tree, bark peeled away. Below this is a bird's nest, with bird guarding a nestling; metal vines entwine the tree. In the middle of the monument is attached a bronze shield on which is written: Right of the First Corps / Here fought the 90th / Penna. Infantry / on the afternoon of July 1, 1863 / killed and mortally wounded 11 / wounded 44, captured or missing / 39, total 94, of 208 engaged. / Organized at Phila. Oct. 1, 1861 / Mustered out, Nov. 26, 1864. Below this shield is a knapsack, in bronze, hung from the tree, a rifle, bayonet and ammunition box; written on the knapsack: 90th P.V. / 2nd Brig. 2nd Div. / First Corps.

Image of the monument to the 4th Michigan Infantry. Monument includes a large bas-relief panel of an infantryman holding a flag in front of a cannon. Below the panel is written: 4th Michigan Inftry / 2nd Brig 1st Div 5th Corps. / Participated in 53 skirmishes and general engagements, / from Bull Run Va. July 21st 1861 to Appomattox Va. April 9th 1865. On the image, in the lower right corner, in white, is printed: 1064 -- 4th Michgan Inft. Monument.
