A carved panel in the front reads: This Regiment recruited in Phila./ responded to the first call April / 16, 1861, served until Aug. 9, as the / 19th P.V. Reorganized Oct 1, 1861, as / the 90th P.V. serving in the / First and Fifth / Corps, and participating in all / the important battles of the / "Army of the Potomac" until / mustered out Nov. 26, 1864. / "Non sibi sed patriae." ["Not for self, but for country"]. Around the base of the monument: 90th P.V. 2nd Division. In the lower corner of the photograph, in white is: 1045. .     Image of the tall columnar monument to the 140th Pennsylvania Infantry. At the top of the monument is a drum, below that the shamrock emblem of the Union Army's 2nd Corps is prominently carved into the stone. At the base of the monument there is tablet which reads: The regiment engaged / the enemy on this / position late in the / afternoon of July 2d., / succeeding 5th Corps / troops and holding the / right of the 1st Division / 2d.     Image of the monument to the 2nd Rhode Island Volunteers. Monument is topped by a bronze sculpture of a war drum against which are leaning an ammunition bag, a canteen, a wreath and a bayonet. On top of the drum is am infantryman's cap with the cross badge of the Union's Sixth Army Corps. On the front of the monument it reads: 2nd R.I. / Volunteers / Second Brigade/ Third Division / Sixth Corps. In the center of the monument is a carved bas-relief of the shield of the State of Rhode Island. The photograph has been affixed to a card with the photographer's signature and "Gettysburg, Pa." printed in gold lettering at the bottom.

    Image of the monument to the 57th Pennsylvania Veteran Volunteers. The monument is obelisk in shape, however the top is draped in a carved American flag. Beneath the draped flag is the diamond symbol of the Union 3rd Army Carps and a bronze plaque depicting the coat of arms of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Written on the front: 57th Penn'a. / Veteran Vol's. / 1st Brig. 1st Div. / 3rd Corps. / The Regiment occupied / this position, exposed to a / heavy artillery fire on the / afternoon of July 2, for two / hours, when it advanced 170 / feet and engaged the enemy. On the side of the monument are the statistics for that day. There is a split rail fence behind the monument. At the bottom of the photograph is a number in white: 1084. The photograph has been affixed to a card with the photographer's signature and "Gettysburg, Pa." printed in gold lettering at the bottom.
