Terry has a small, thin mustache, has his right hand in his coat pocket, and his left hand resting at his waist. There is a blue two cent stamp with a portrait of George Washington attached to the verso.

A three-quarters length seated studio portrait of Union Second Lieutenant William H. Lyman of the 22nd Colored Infantry Regiment, turned very slightly to the left. Lyman is resting his right arm on a side table, and his left hand in his lap. He has bushy muttonchops, but is otherwise clean-shaven. "B.F. Evans, No. 14 Main Street, Norfolk, Va." is stamped in black on the verso. There is a green three cent stamp with a portrait of George Washington attached to the verso upside down.

A three-quarters length studio portrait of Union General (and later President) Ulysses Simpson Grant, with his body turned very slightly to the right, but his eyes looking off to the left. Grant has his right hand tucket in his trouser pocket, and is gripping his open coat at about waist-level. "F. Gutekunst. ; Photog'r." is printed just below the photograph. "F. Gutekunst ; 704 & 706 Arch, Philadelphia" is printed on the verso. There is part of a blue two cent stamp with a portrait of George Washington attached to the verso upside down.

A full-length studio portrait of James Otis Moore (1822-1886), who served as assistant surgeon to the 22nd Colored Infantry Regiment, turned slightly to the left. He has a full mustache and beard which reaches past his lapels. Moore is resting his right hand on the back of a heavy wooden chair with ornate upholstery, which has a curtain draped over it on the left. "L. Horning's Photographic Rooms, No. 56 N. Eighth Street, Philadelphia. ; No. ; Negatives retained. Duplicates furnished at any time." is printed in black on the verso. There is a blue two cent stamp with a portrait of George Washington attached to the verso upside down.

A bust-length studio portrait of Union Captain Levi (referred to here as "Lee") S. Graybill turned slightly to the left. Graybill has a neatly trimmed mustache and patch of hair below his lower lip. "Bendann" is printed in the lower left corner, and "Baltimore" in the lower right. Graybill's name is written in ms on the verso, above a shield and helmet, with a ribbon reading "Bendann Bros. ; 207 Baltimore St." There is a green and white three cent stamp with a portrait of George Washington attached at an angle on the verso.
