Schlick has a thin mustache and a goatee growing from only the bottom of his chin that reaches his lapels. Schlick is resting his left forearm on the back of a wooden chair with floral patterned cushions. "Finley & Sons ; Photographers ; Main Street, Canandaigua, N.Y." is stamped in black on the verso. There is a green, three cent stamp with a portrait of George Washington on the verso.

A bust-length studio portrait of Union Major Edmund DeBuck (or De Buck) turned partially to the left. DeBuck has a full but neatly trimmed beard and mustache, and is almost completely bald on top of his head, with hair around the sides. "J. Cremer & Co., artists, No. 18 South Eighth Street, Philadelphia." is stamped in black on the verso. There is a green three cent stamp with a portrait of George Washington attached to the verso.

Christy has a very full mustache and beard that reaches below his collar. Evans, No. 14 Main Street, Norfolk, Va." is stamped in black on the verso. There is a green three cent stamp with a portrait of George Washington attached to the verso upside down.
