    Image of a colorful map of the United States. The decorative title reads, “Our Country. Published by Ensign, Bridgman and Fanning. 156 Williams Street, New York.” To the left of the title is an image of a sailor waving an American flag, as well as two engraved vignettes labeled, “Agriculture,” and “Arts.” To the right of the title is an image of a crowd of people celebrating the Constitution and Laws, as well as two engraved vignettes labeled, “Manufacturers,” and “Commerce.” The images include people in the act of farming and working in factories, as well as images of ships at sea and different forms of art. The map is framed on the left-and-right sides with decorative borders containing names of political figures on ribbons, starting on the top-left with Washington and ending on the bottom right with D. Webster. The central image of the print is a large map of the U.S. with an inset map of Mexico on the left lower corner, and an inset vignette towards the right corner of an American Eagle and shield providing a population table for the states. Relief on the map is shown by hachures, and states are represented with varying colors of pink, green, blue, and yellow. The top border with Canada and the lower border with Mexico is outlined in red. The map shows railroads, rivers, capitals, cities and Indian lands. Towards the bottom of the print are engraved views showing images of American history. As described in the key titled “Description of the Engravings Below,” the images range from Columbus’s discovery of America in 1492, ending with “Fulton’s First Steamboat shown to an Indian,” in the 19th century.

    Image is a topographical map of the area from Snoqualmoo Pass in the southeast to Big Falls in the north, and from Vancouvers Island in the west to L. Chelan in the east. Notable features on the map include the Gulf of Georgia, Puget Sound, Frazer's River, and the Cascade Mountains. Locations of coal, gold, digging sites, and Indian diggings are labeled on the map. In the upper right corner is a table of distances, and in the upper left corner is a map of Indian trails. "Whitton, Towne & Co's Print, 125 Clay St., San Francisco. Sold by J. W.     Image of a print showing a colorful board game with red, blue, and yellow spaces on a snake-like ribbon numbered from 1 to 122. The game is illustrated with 32 vignettes of views, caricatures, and portraits relating to American history. The illustrations are numbered and correspond to starred spaces on the ribbon. The title is decorative in red, white, and blue stripes, and towards the left of the title is a picture of an American flag with 34 stars and 7 stripes. Players roll dice to move across the board and then follow the instructions listed on the illustrations to move forward. The top of the print includes a portrait of George Washington, and the bottom of the print includes two engravings. The engraving on lower right is labeled, “96. Give the Player two throws” and includes an illustration of a man standing near a cabin and farming supplies. The engraving towards the lower right of the print is labeled. “119. Home of the Washington Family: the Player has lost, and muse cease to play,” along with a view of Washington’s home. Print is bordered on all sides with decorative motifs of leaves and flowers.

    A hand-colored lithograph view print depicting the capture of the Chinese Summer Palace near Peking, China. The image includes Chinese soldiers in varying military attire and queue braids while armed with swords, bows and arrows, dragon shields, and talismanic demon portraits. The French military is depicted in the center of the print dressed in blue uniforms with epaulettes, bayonets, and rifles on horseback while waving a flag with a French imperial eagle finial and flag. The right of the image depicts crowds of men in uniform fighting, and one of the men is illustrated in a red coat, likely referring to the British army. Background and foreground illustrate the Chinese soldiers as falling in defeat. The title is printed in French and English below the image. Signed by printer, "Lith: H Jannin, Paris" in the lower right corner. Signed by the publisher, "Paris chez Codoni, rue Grenier St. Lazare, 20," in the lower left corner. Signed by artist "Albert" in stone in the image's lower right corner.
