Reproduction. 2nd state: Daniel's name does not occur in the cartouche, and "Pennsilvania" appears in the title. A lithographic reproduction of an old map. Surround is a description of English colonies then existent. The paper used make has been printed with wire lines and watermark as might have been used on the original but which can be seen from both sides of the paper. See 71005 for an original copy of the 2nd state of this map and 70999 for a reproduction of the 1st state of this map, but with the British Museum stamp from the original. According to Burden this is state 3 of the map (Burden, map 100), which was first printed in 1597, but was reprinted until 1615. The position of the Missions, and location of the Indian Nations are indicated. A very fine and interesting map." Kashnor dates as ca. 1680. McLaughlin dates as [1690] and places London as site of publication. Map separately published. Map has corrected route of the Rio Grande (R. Escandado) but S.
