Advertisements, some illustrated, on reverse. All other text in Japanese only. Published by the Aala Automotive Union which operated sightseeing tours around 1930. This brochure was often issued along with a sample itinerary "Aara Jidōsha Kumiai" to Japanese passengers upon arrival to Honolulu.

Areas covered in the insets are: Uptown Japanese Community, Geary/Post /Sutter Streets area, Stockton Street area, Wholesale area in downtown, and South Park. Includes numerous advertisments for Japanese businesses including accommodation, a clothes store, book shop, chemist, insurance, law firm, and the detective agency. It also provides information on transportation.

    Photographs of Kaua'i and O'ahu, Hawai'i

    A collection of 56 black and white snapshot photographs of people, activities, and scenery on the islands of Kaua'i and O'ahu, Hawai'i, approximately 1910. The photographs include Native Hawaiians and a thatched dwelling, Chinese and Japanese laborers, and agriculture such as rice fields, sugarcane, and a pineapple plantation. One handwritten caption refers to the visitors camping in the mountains of Kaua'i at "Mr. Gay's" during Halley's Comet. Images of Honolulu include Diamond Head, Pearl Harbor, Iolani Palace, and Waikiki. There are also group photographs of travelers onboard the SS Mongolia and SS Wilhelmina.

    Comprised of full-page halftone reproductions of photographs, this photobook focuses on Japanese American communities in Hawaii. A majority of images are of Japanese-American sugar plantation and processing plants, as well as depictions of agricultural laborers in taro, coffee and other crops. Portraits of notables such as President Taft and Queen Likliokalani and other political and civic leaders are included. Other images are of important Hawaiian landmarks and of various Japanese group activities such as Buddhist groups, baseball team and Japanese schools. Indigenous Hawaiians are also depicted at a feast (luau) and outside of a traditional thatched house (hale).
