Bound in black faux animal skin. A fleur de lis graphic element is embossed on the center of the cover, and below that the title, "Maui - Oahu - Hawaii." The number "52" is affixed to the top of spine with glue. Album contains photos of Jack and Charmian London's travels through Hawaii in 1907, including volcanoes, plantations, and Hawaiian people they met along the way.

Shows topics of interest to the Japanese visitor or immigrant to Hawaiʻi including: population demographics of Japanese on the different islands; places of interest, average temperatures, list of Buddhist religious centers, Japanese primary schools, charts of distances between places on the Islands (for example: from Honolulu to Lihue). Text also contains traveler's advice for immigration, entry/re-entry into Hawaiʻi. The outer border consists of blocks of text and graphics containing advertisements from Japanese businesses, including bicycle shops, Western (European) clothing and hat stores, bakeries, hotels, grocery stores and photography studios.

Comprised of full-page halftone reproductions of photographs, this photobook focuses on Japanese American communities in Hawaii. A majority of images are of Japanese-American sugar plantation and processing plants, as well as depictions of agricultural laborers in taro, coffee and other crops. Portraits of notables such as President Taft and Queen Likliokalani and other political and civic leaders are included. Other images are of important Hawaiian landmarks and of various Japanese group activities such as Buddhist groups, baseball team and Japanese schools. Indigenous Hawaiians are also depicted at a feast (luau) and outside of a traditional thatched house (hale).

An album with 26 photographs of the Ewa Plantation on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, as well as other Hawaiian locations. Views of the Ewa Plantation show workers reaping sugar cane in the fields and working in the processing plant and a family home on the plantation grounds. Photographs of other locations show street vendors and the executive building in Honolulu, the leper settlement on Molokai, and Diamond Head. Some of the photographs are the work of J. J. Williams of Honolulu.
