Tourist brochure featuring a town plan of Honolulu. Town plan is bordered by photographic illustrations showing the attractions each with accompanying text in Japanese and English. Advertisements, some illustrated, on reverse. All other text in Japanese only. Published by the Aala Automotive Union which operated sightseeing tours around 1930. This brochure was often issued along with a sample itinerary "Aara Jidōsha Kumiai" to Japanese passengers upon arrival to Honolulu.

Includes numerous advertisments for Japanese businesses including accommodation, a clothes store, book shop, chemist, insurance, law firm, and the detective agency. It also provides information on transportation.

Discusses the importance of creating an itinerary, train facilities, how to book tickets, luggage, railway routes and fares. At the time of this publication, the Nippon Yūsen Kabushiki-kaisha (NYK) ran regular shipping routes to San Francisco, Los Angeles and Seattle via Honolulu, and the West Coast is clearly meant as a starting point for travels.

A collection of 311 copy photographs and photographs of illustrations of San Francisco showing the city from 1846 up until the San Francisco Earthquake and Fire of 1906, the majority dating to between 1856 and 1890. Images show city streets, especially Market Street; schools, including the Denman School and Lincoln School; neighborhoods, including Nob Hill, Russian Hill, and Telegraph Hill; churches; the Congregation Emanu-El synagogue; a Masonic temple; an Odd Fellows hall; Mission Dolores; hotels, including the old and new Cliff Houses; banks; waterfront views including ferry boats and steamboats; cable cars from various years; tourist attractions, especially Woodward's Gardens and Warner's Cobweb Palace; July 4th celebrations; photographs of snow from 1882; and views of the destruction caused by the 1868 Hayward Earthquake.
