There are six rows of three airplanes parked in formation on the left, and at least seven rows of three larger airplanes parked on a perpendicular runway on the right. Beyond the planes on the right there are dozens more planes, closely parked in rows of six to ten. The finding aid describes these airplanes as "military airplanes"--some of the larger biplanes are US Army bombers, including the Curtiss B-2 and the Keystone LB-6.. There are crowds of people on the raised viewing area where the photographer is, some in military uniforms, as well as hundreds more on the ground facing the airplanes.
