Glass plate with a group portrait of fifteen young women and seven young men with diplomas in a park. Seven of the women and three of the men are sitting, while one older man (possibly a teacher) stands behind them with the rest of the students. The women are all wearing long-sleeved white dresses, while the men are wearing dark three-piece suits.

A panoramic view of celebrations for the American Legion picnic in Avalon, on Santa Catalina Island. A crowd of a couple hundred people are gathered around an open area in the street. A baseball team and a band are sitting in the middle, directly in front of the crowd, and many of the older men and women are wearing American Legion hats. Most of the shops and stores behind the crowds are decorated with American flags.
