An elevated panoramic view of the harbor at Avalon, on Santa Catalina Island. There are dozens of unoccupied small boats in the harbor. A ferry with two masts and a smoke stack has entered the harbor and is headed towards the pier. Avalon stretches back from the shore, with mostly larger buildings closer to the harbor, and smaller residences farther away. Much of the immediate vicinity is wooded, and there are high hills on either side of Avalon. Writing in white at the bottom reads "Avalon, ; 1904."
