A manuscript map related to the boundary dispute between New York and New Jersey. Shows land between the upper Delaware River and the Upper Susquehanna River.
Detailed manuscript chart of the St. Lawrence River from Québec to the western end of Anticosti Island. Drawn by Charles Rivez. "The Explanation" states that the map was assembled from various sources, notably: a chart published in Boston in 1732; Maps and surveys done by Mr. Bellin and others, approximately 1755; Captured maps (dated 1737) from the Alcide, taken in June 1755 by Admiral Boscawen. The inset map is titled "Part of the River St. Lawrence" depicts the head of the St. Lawrence at Québec, with the shipping and coast lines around the Île d'Orléans shown in detail. Scale for the inset is given in bar graph as 3/4 inch to 1 English league.
This manuscript is a hand-drawn color map titled "Plan of Grass Valley", and drawn circa 1860. The map is not signed, and there is no attribution to an artist. There are names on the map based on mining claims and cabins.
Manuscript map showing the coastline and harbors from Jebucto (i.e. Chebucto) Head to Bedford Basin and Fort Sacville with bearing points, soundings and the channels. Halifax Harbour is depicted in great detail. Probably drawn by Charles Rivez from an original.
