    Correspondence, photographs, writings, publications, and ephemera related to the poet Robert Mezey, collected by his former romantic partner Eileen Senner. Correspondence consists primarily of postcards and letters from Mezey to Senner, some including poetry. Writings include copies of publications in which Mezey's poetry appeared, broadsides, photocopies, and a small amount of handwritten notes related to his E.A. Robinson and Thomas Hardy projects. The collection also includes biographical articles and clippings, ephemera related to poetry readings and other events, and several photographs of Mezey.

    Manuscripts

    The collection consists primarily of letters to Munro from his academic colleagues, dealing with reactions to his research and publications, with his professional and social activities, and with the administration of universities and other institutions in which Munro was interested. A few letters after Munro's death are addressed to Professsor Harvey Eagleson concerning a memoir of Munro. Correspondents include Charles Austin Beard, Max Farrand, Herbert Hoover, Walter Lippman, Abbott Lawrence Lowell, Robert A. Millikan, and George Walter Prothero.

    Manuscripts

    Primarily typescript drafts and photocopy drafts of articles and stories, many of which appeared in Vogue, Rolling Stone, and other publications. Grouped alphabetically with a few titles housed separately in original folders: Gilded Lily, Hair These Days, Inventories, In Praise of Folly, and Maui Wowie. Some drafts include notes from publishers and revisions.

    Photographs of Indians of the Southwest by E.A. Bonine

    Visual Materials

    This collection contains 73 studio portraits of Native Americans from southwestern Arizona, and were probably taken between 1880 and 1883 in E.A. Bonine's photography tent in Yuma, Arizona. The collection includes photographs of Chief Pasqual of the Yuma tribe, and posed portraits of members of the Yuma, Apache, Pima, Cocopa, Tohono O'Odham (also known as the Papago), and Mohave tribes. A few of the portraits have been identified with the names of people and tribes, but the majority of individuals remain unidentified.

    Boxes 31-35 contain Kruse's personal books—some are written by him, and some are written and inscribed by others. A larger number of books were originally included in the papers donated to the library; only those which were annotated by Kruse or inscribed to him were kept with his papers. The remaining books are catalogued separately and are located in Rare Books. A list of all of the books donated with the collection is included below.
