La Opinión Partnerships and Supplements

Papers on the partnerships between La Opinión and various Los Angeles or California-based organizations spanning 1987 to 2009, as well as materials detailing supplements and special issues put out by La Opinión with multiple partner organizations. Notable organizations and supplements include the Scott Newman Center Partnership (1987-1988) promoting drug prevention for Latino families; Prenatal Care for Hispanic Women (1990); California Health Care Foundation (CHCF) on health insurance for Latinos (1998-2003); Latino Parents Awareness Campaign (2001-2003); UCLA Extension classes on Spanish-language journalism in collaboration with La Opinión (2004-2005); and a Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) partnership (2004-2009), among others.
