Four copies of a speech given by Otis Chandler at the Colorado Press Association Convention on February 21, 1969. Four of the copies are in pamphlet form. Also in this folder are twenty-three letters of correspondence, which included two letters of correspondence between Otis Chandler and Palmer Hoyt, Editor and Publisher of the Denver Post, in which Hoyt is sending Chandler tear sheets and Chandler response with a thank you letter; two letters of correspondence between Otis Chandler and Harold Willens, President of Factory Equipment Supply Corporation, requesting copies of the speech and Chandler informing him there weren't enough printed; eight letters of correspondence in which six are inviting Otis Chandler as guest speaker and two Otis Chandler accepts; seven letters and two note cards of correspondence, seven items in which congratulate Otis Chandler on a great speech and two Otis Chandler response with thank yous; a thank you letter from Ken Johnson, General Manager of the Daily Sentinel; and a letter from Hal Hall, Owner and Manager of the Red Mountain Lodge, in which he criticizes Otis Chandler's speech.

Also in this folder are seven pieces of correspondence: a thank you letter from Jean Kennedy, Producer of The David Susskind Show, to Dan Moore; a thank you letter from David Susskind; a letter of praise from Mrs. Art Buchwald [Ann Buchwald] and a response letter from Otis Chandler; a memo from Jean Kennedy in which she is sending Otis Chandler a photograph, and a thank you response letter to Jean Kennedy from Otis Chandler; and a letter from Jean Kennedy in which she is sending a transcript of the show.

A copy of a speech entitled "Why A Newspaper in an Electronic Era" given by Otis Chandler at the Southern Newspaper Publishers Association on November 15, 1966. Also included in this folder is a clipping from the November 19, 1966 Ad Age, which discusses Otis Chandler's speech; four pieces of correspondence between Otis Chandler and Edward L. Gaylord, Executive Vice President of Oklahoma Publishing Company, requesting Otis Chandler as speaker, Otis Chandler accepting, Edward L. Gaylord thanking Otis Chandler for accepting, traveling to make the speech, and apologizes for the turnout [three of the letters are attached along with a memo from Freddie Miller to Otis Chandler, as a refresher about the presentation]; a newspaper clipping regarding the speech; memos between Otis Chandler and Nick Williams regarding ideas on what to right the speech about; a letter to Edward L. Gaylord, Executive Vice President of Oklahoma Publishing Company, from Freddie Miller requesting additional information about the Southern Newspaper Publishers Association for Otis Chandler for preparation of the speech; and a two page letter from Claude V. Capers, Manager in the Labor Relations Department at the Southern Newspaper Publishers Association, in which he sending the information requested.

Other items in this folder include a four page copy of an article from The Quill entitled "Assemble In Philadelphia"; a letter to Nancy Baltad from Otis Chandler, thanking her for her hospitality; a response letter from Nancy Baltad saying the pleasure was all hers letter from Robert S. McCord, Executive Editor at Arkansas Democrat, letting Chandler know he is going to be the one introducing him at the dinner; a letter from George A. Stauter, Chairman for Personnel '76 National Convention, regarding arrival plans; a thank you note from Sherry Stern, President of USC's Sigma Delta Chi Chapter; a note from Freddie Miller regarding hotel arrangements; four letters to Otis Chandler and a note to Freddie Miller from Henry Rieger, Vice President of Public Information at National Broadcasting Company, Inc., in which he invites him to be speaker, confirms the date, and sends his regrets for not attending; a letter from William Small, President of The Society of Professional Journalists, Sigma Delta Chi, inviting Chandler on a walking tour; a letter from Freddie Miller to William Small informing him that Chandler will not be able to attend the tour due to his arrival time; a note from Nancy Baltad, Chapter Delegate of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists and Hospitality Room Chairman, inviting Chandler to stop by the Hospitality room that the chapter and the LA Times are hosting; a letter to Russell E. Hurst, Executive Officer of The Society of Professional Journalists, Sigma Delta Chi, from Freddie Miller, in which she is sending him Chandler's biography and photograph; a letter from Russell E. Hurst requesting Chandler's biography, photograph and itinerary; three letters of praise, each has a thank you response letter from Otis Chandler; a letter, with an attachment, from Walter Burroughs informing Chandler of the compliments he's heard about the speech and also sends him a newsletter called "Update" which thanks Chandler for the great speech; and a four page edited copy of the speech sent out for reprint which has a note to Freddie Miller attached to it.

Romano, requesting more comp badges; a letter from Peter P. Romano regarding complimentary invitations and two response letters from Freddie Miller providing names in the first letter and then in the second letter, providing additional names she had forgotten to included in the first letter.
